Rohan became the first Asian swimmer and the youngest to swim between New Zealand's North and South Islands across the Cook Strait. Rohan completed the race in eight hours and 37 minutes. In temperatures around 19 degrees Celsius, Rohan set out from the North Island, battling inclement weather and a sudden drop in temperature to complete his task . He finished the Ocean's Seven Marathon as the ninth person in history.
In the early 1990s, Rohan began swimming at the age of four. He had weak lungs, so his mother was advised by the family doctor to make sports a habit so he could gain strength. He didn't like water at first, but he grew to like it.
Talking about his achievement, More said, "It is the greatest moment of my life as I swam across Cook Strait in New Zealand which was the seven and last in the Ocean Seven." "I really feel very proud and emotional about this thing because after swimming this challenge I became the first Indian ever in the history to complete this challenge and only ninth person in the world who has swam all the seven challenges in the Ocean Seven," he added.
